Al-Ahli Club received a heavy blow before facing Al-Ittifaq, as it was confirmed that their new winger Saleh Abu Al-Shamat will be absent due to an injury he sustained during his recent participation with the Saudi national team during the international break.
Abu Al-Shamat missed Al-Ahli’s group training on Thursday, prompting German coach Matthias Jaissle to decide on excluding him from the team’s squad that will play tomorrow’s match, as part of the second round of the Roshn League.
Al-Ahli will be visiting Al-Ittifaq on Friday evening, in a match where they look to maintain their strong start in the league after winning their first round against NEOM, while the hosts seek to achieve their first victory this season.
Coach Jaissle will have to look for a suitable replacement to compensate for the absence of Abu Al-Shamat in the front line, with the possibility of giving a chance to one of the bench players to prove their abilities and contribute to continuing the team’s positive start.
