Omar Al-Somah is considered the all-time top scorer of the Saudi Professional League, having scored 154 goals in 197 matches during his long career in Saudi stadiums.
Al-Somah began his football career in Syria with Al-Futowa club, before having a successful experience in Kuwait with Al-Qadisiyah. In the summer of 2014, he joined Saudi Al-Ahli, where he stayed until 2023, including a short loan to Qatar’s Al-Arabi in the 2022-2023 season.
Al-Somah also played for a short period with Al-Orouba in 2025, before having a new Arab experience with Wydad Casablanca in the FIFA Club World Cup.
On the international level, Al-Somah wore the Syrian national team shirt in 41 matches, scoring 21 goals, classifying him among the most prominent strikers in the history of Syrian football.
