Explained Portuguese Otavio Monteiro, former Al-Nassr player and new arrival to Al-Qadsiah , the reasons for choosing to move to the Eastern club, confirming that he came motivated by team spirit and his desire to contribute to achieving successes with the team.
Otavio said in his first interview from Al-Khobar city: “I will do what I’ve always done in my career, which is to give everything I have on the field, help my teammates, and maybe win some cups.”
The Portuguese player indicated that his decision came after hearing many praises about Al-Qadsiah club, adding: “The truth is that I heard Al-Qadsiah is a very organized club with a great structure. I felt very happy when I learned of their desire to sign me, and now I want to make my contribution and help as much as I can.”
Otavio talked about his familiarity with some players in Al-Qadsiah such as Mohammed Qassem, who played alongside him at Al-Nassr, and Gabriel Carvalho, who came from Internacional Brazilian club, where he also graduated from.
He added: “Last season we lost both matches against Al-Qadsiah when I was with Al-Nassr, and I know they have a great team. I’m just here to help.”
Otavio admitted that his move from Al-Nassr to Al-Qadsiah wasn’t easy, saying: “The deal took a long time, but the important thing is that it was completed in the end. I’m very happy to be here and to be able to help the team.”
