Imanol Alguacil Reveals His Opinion on Al-Shabab’s Summer Transfer Window

Spanish coach Imanol Alguacil, the technical director of Al-Shabab’s first football team, expressed his great satisfaction with the club’s activity during the summer transfer window, confirming that the team has completely changed and needs some time to reach its best possible level.

Alguacil said during the press conference held on Thursday before facing Al-Hazm in the second round of the Saudi Roshn League: “This is a new team, unrelated to the one we played with 15 days ago. We will start seeing its personality traits within a month from now.”

He indicated that he is working with all the players to achieve the required harmony and for the team to appear in a way that satisfies the fans.

Al-Shabab’s coach praised the board’s work during the summer transfer window, saying: “I’m satisfied with the transfer market, we now have high-level players. I thank the management for their efforts, but we need some time to create a complete team.”

Alguacil confirmed that his team is ready for Friday’s match against Al-Hazm, emphasizing the need to deliver a strong performance that reflects the club’s ambitions. However, he refused to reveal the starting lineup, indicating that he will announce it to the players just before the match.

The Spanish coach praised the team’s new signing, Englishman Josh Brownhill, pointing out his ability to play between the lines, score goals, and perform defensive tasks, expecting him to have a clear impact in upcoming matches.

He also confirmed the readiness of Moroccan striker Abderrazak Hamdallah after his return from an overseas trip with the club’s permission, to be present in the match against Al-Hazm.
